CEO Remarks

Dear Artemis team,

We had a fun time at the Annual Summer picnic in July, and it was great to see all the kids, families, and pets enjoying themselves.  July was a hot month for both the country and for Artemis—nice work to all of you! I’m pleased to share with you the August 2019 Newsletter.  Here’s a summary of the happenings for August:

  1. I’m very excited to announce the addition of two team members to the corporate office—Ali Gerritsen as the VP of Operations, who started July 29,2019 and Delaney Patterson, our new HR Coordinator who will be starting August 5th, 2019.  Both will be a welcome addition to the company and promise to continue the successful growth of the organization while keeping the core purpose and values alive and at the forefront of our actions.
  1. Artemis has been approved to participate in the California Training Fund program.  This program assists the company financially to implement training programs for all our team for the next 2 years.  I’m eager for us to now start looking at ways to improve and further formalize our training plans for each team member to develop professionally.
  1. I may be sounding like a broken record, but we will changing the roll out of BOX, (the file sharing software service) so that certain departments will first begin working with it, and then targeting a full launch to sometime end of Q3 or beginning of Q4.  The Patient Recruitment and Marketing team has already begun to work within BOX, soon to be followed by the rest of the corporate team.  We want to make sure we are rolling this important tool out properly rather than rush, so that’s the reason for the delays…coming soon though!
  1. Finally, the IT service provider formally switched over to SPLICE on 8/1/19.  There is no real change you will see except for a chat help desk that will soon appear on your desktop for any IT service support. There is a 1 month overlap with Skyriver IT for August, but we ask to start working with the SPLICE team from August 1st on to become acquainted with them.

Industry, Patients, and Community Highlights

Big Sister League of San Diego

Claudia Camacho, Patient Concierge Lead, and Angela Strigen, Recruitment Relations Specialist, visited with the women of the Big Sister League of San Diego. Big Sister League of San Diego provides supportive housing for women living with mental illness, homelessness, trauma, and/or domestic abuse and assists residents through services and programs designed to encourage confidence, self-esteem, and independence. Claudia spoke with the women of the house about Artemis Research, our current studies offered at our San Diego site, and any indications the women were interested in. Continued outreach not only brings awareness about Artemis Research to the local community, but also can help members of the community find the care and help they need.

July Screening Goals

Congratulations San Diego, San Marcos, and Riverside on helping us not only meet but surpass our screening goals for July! We had a goal of 97 screens and surpassed that goal by 30% ending with a total of 126 screens! Thank you for all you do to help our patients join and stay in our studies!
