Sarah Lavery, MD

Principal Investigator/Riverside Site
(Medical Division)

“Clinical research is more than pure statistics. For me it is about the people involved. Good data and precise numbers are important but building patient relationships and working well with my colleagues are just as essential. Artemis makes all those pieces integrate easily in order to make the work done here not only efficient but also a pleasure to do.”

Dr. Lavery attended the University of Virginia for her undergraduate degree and then Eastern Virginia Medical School for her Medical Degree. After completing her Internal Medicine residency at the Medical University of South Carolina, Dr. Lavery went on to work in a clinical medical practice for 10 years. She has also worked as a hospitalist and later in a clinic for underserved patients prior to beginning her career in clinical research. As a Principal Investigator, her main areas of research interests include migraine, diabetes, osteoarthritis and vaccine development. Dr. Lavery joined the Artemis research team in 2019.
