Even though people with anxiety disorders recognize there’s no logical reason for their feelings, they’re filled with worry and tension, anticipating disaster at every turn. They appear overly concerned about health, money, their family, and perceived issues at work. Just getting through the day can create feelings of stress and struggle.
People with anxiety disorder startle easily and can’t relax even when all seems to be going well. They often have trouble falling asleep, and may wake frequently during the night. They may suffer from headaches, fatigue, muscle tension, aches and twitches, hot flashes, and nausea. They’re frequently irritable, feel out of breath and lightheaded, and may have to visit the bathroom often.
Artemis Institute for Clinical Research conducts clinical trials of investigative medications for the treatment of anxiety disorders. Qualified people participating in a trial may be eligible to receive financial compensation for time and travel, study-related medical and psychological evaluations, and the investigative study medication at no cost.
